Government should be efficient
Government should be efficient. Maybe even boring. There are those who wish to create chaos for political expediency. No chaos with Allen McCormack. Allen has the life experience, in business, government and the military, to forestall chaos. He served as Director of the ATAO Office in the Pa Department of Gereral Services. Started his own business. Almost 20 years working in telecommunications and technology. Served as Company Commander of an Army unit deployed to the Middle East for Operation Desert Storm. His unit was awarded a Meritorious Unit Citation. This is the life experience Allen brings to serve his friends and neighbors of Lower Paxton Township. Please vote Allen McCormack for the 2 year term as Lower Paxton Township Supervisor on November 4th!

National POW/MIA Recognition Day
Every year, we pause to remember the brave men and women who served our nation, sacrificing their lives and futures for our freedom. Yet, among these heroes, there are still countless brothers and sisters-in-arms who remain unaccounted for—soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines lost in conflicts across decades, whose fates are shrouded in uncertainty.
From the jungles of Vietnam to the deserts of the Middle East, thousands of service members are still listed as Missing in Action (MIA) or Prisoners of War (POW). Their families carry the weight of unanswered questions, and their comrades bear the solemn duty to never forget. Organizations like the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency work tirelessly to locate, identify, and bring closure to these cases, but the task is monumental. Each unresolved story is a reminder of the cost of war and the enduring commitment we owe to those who served.
We honor these heroes not just with words but with action—supporting efforts to recover remains, sharing their stories, and ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten. Let us hold fast to the promise: No one left behind. Until every brother and sister-in-arms is accounted for, we will keep their memory alive.

Police Athletic League
Let’s put our political differences aside, and support the great work of the Police Athletic League (PAL). Dr. Charles Stuart is my political opponent in November. But we both support the great work he does with the Police Athletic League (PAL).
Please support his work with and for “his kids”, the kids who are involved with PAL.
It is important, and the kids are the “winners”!
The Police Athletic League (PAL) is a beacon of hope in communities across the nation, fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and youth through sports, education, and mentorship. Founded on the principle that strong community ties build brighter futures, PAL offers a safe space where young people can thrive, learn, and grow.
Through programs like basketball leagues, after-school tutoring, and summer camps, PAL empowers kids to develop life skills, build confidence, and form meaningful connections with police officers who serve as coaches and mentors. These interactions break down barriers, replacing mistrust with understanding and creating role models who inspire.
With chapters in cities nationwide, PAL impacts thousands of lives annually, steering youth toward success while strengthening community bonds. By investing in our kids, PAL is shaping a future where trust, respect, and opportunity unite us all. Support your local PAL and help build a stronger, safer tomorrow.

The Aliver Foundation
Last week, an all-weather, climate controlled outdoor automated external defibrillator (AED) enclosure was installed in Koons Park in memory of 10-year old Bryson Funk. Donated by The Aliver Foundation, along with the automated external AED inside, this lifesaving equipment will empower bystanders to intervene 24/7/365 in the event of a cardiac emergency.
From the second we heard Bryson’s story, there was no question that this would be our next partner community. How could we not donate lifesaving equipment to protect those who utilize Koons Park in this incredible little boy’s memory?
The enclosure was setup in collaboration with Lower Paxton Township, Lower Paxton Township Bureau of Fire, Lower Paxton Township Bureau of Police, South Central EMS, and Dauphin County’s Office of Emergency Communications. A bystander calls 9-1-1, a code is provided to gain access the AED, and emergency services are simultaneously dispatched to Koons Park. While the AED will talk the user through the entire process, the 9-1-1 dispatcher will also assist them.
This is perhaps the most heartfelt donation we have made to date. The hope is that nobody will ever need to use this equipment, but knowing it is protecting lives outside in Koons Park and always accessible, no matter the weather, is so important.
Please stay tuned and save the date for the family friendly community celebration to be held on Saturday, April 18th in Koons Park, in conjunction with Linglestown Baseball Association’s opening day. Additionally, please visit: facebook.com/BrysonFunkRun to participate in the Funk Run, taking place on October 19th in Bryson’s memory.
About Bryson Funk:
Bryson was born in Harrisburg and attended Linglestown Elementary School. He was member of Linglestown Baseball Association and 717 Athletics. Bryson was a fun loving kid who enjoyed going to Hershey Park, landscaping, and playing sports in the front yard with parents and neighborhood friends. He was a bright student who excelled in school. Bryson volunteered a portion of his recess weekly to help in the MDS classroom as a peer buddy, working with students with special needs.
